Objective: To review recent literature evidence describing imaging of osteoarthritis (OA) and to identify the current trends in research on OA imaging.
Method: This is a narrative review of publications in English, published between April, 2023, and March, 2024. A Pubmed search was conducted using the following search terms: osteoarthritis/OA, radiography, ultrasound/US, computed tomography/CT, magnetic resonance imaging/MRI, DXA/DEXA, and artificial intelligence/AI/deep learning.

Background: Calcium silicate-based bioceramics have been applied in endodontics as advantageous materials for years, many chemical components and new synthesizing methods were used to improve the base formulation of the materials for positively affecting the sealers properties. Recently, a novel biomaterial formulation, grounded in strontium silicate, has been introduced to the market, offering potential advancements in the field.
Objective: To comparatively analyze the cytotoxicity and cell migration effects of a novel strontium silicate-based bioceramic material (CRoot SP) and those of calcium silicate-based (iRoot SP) and epoxide amine resin (AH Plus) sealers on stem cells derived from rat apical papilla(rSCAPs).

It is well-known that the chemical composition of the host material significantly affects the spectroscopic performance of transition metal ions. However, it is worth noting that also the structure and symmetry of crystallographic sites play significant roles in transition metal ion luminescence. In this study, we demonstrate three perovskite structures of strontium titanate forming so-called Ruddlesden-Popper phases doped with Mn ions.

Two commercially available portable Rapid DNA instruments were evaluated for their ability to process 1 µL and 10 µL saliva samples deposited on metal and plastic surfaces and contaminated with surrogates of cesium (Cs)-137, strontium (Sr)-90 and cobalt (Co)-60; radioactive materials potentially released during a nuclear weapon accident or a radiological dispersal device detonation. A comparable success rate was noted for both Rapid DNA instruments when considering the number of complete and balanced DNA profiles, the number of profiles with a minimum of 10 autosomal STR loci (out of 23 [FlexPlex™ 27] or 21 [GlobalFiler™ Express]), and the possibility to search a national DNA database in Canada and the United States. Cobalt had an adverse impact on the quality of the megaplex short tandem repeat (STR) DNA profiles derived on each instrument for two of the three contamination levels tested in this study, i.
