Background: A shift toward outpatient parathyroidectomy was seen in the early 2000s. Recent trends, especially for secondary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism, have not been described. Researchers used a mixed methods approach to evaluate the College Perspectives around Food Insecurity survey. Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts the musculoskeletal, endocrine, pulmonary, neurologic, ocular, and gastrointestinal systems. In addition, individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome have issues with cognitive development, characteristic behavioral problems, and perhaps most profoundly, appetite control. Currently, the only US Food and Drug Administration-approved therapy for Prader-Willi syndrome is growth hormone, which has been Food and Drug Administration approved for > 20 years for the treatment of growth failure in Prader-Willi syndrome.

Background: Type 2 diabetes (T2D) has become a significant global health threat, yet its precise causes and mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to identify gene expression patterns specific to T2D pancreatic islet cells and to explore the potential role of pancreatic stellate cells (PSCs) in T2D progression through regulatory networks involving lncRNA-mRNA interactions.
Methods: In this study, we screened for upregulated genes in T2D pancreatic islet samples using bulk sequencing (bulkseq) datasets and mapped these gene expression profiles onto three T2D single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) datasets.
