Background: Convergence insufficiency (CI) is a common condition that can impair visual performance and comfort during close visual work. This observational study evaluated the effectiveness of interventions on clinical outcomes and health-related quality-of-life using the Adult Strabismus-20 (AS20) questionnaire in patients with CI.
Methods: Data was extracted from a database collected at first consultation from 2015 to 2022.

Off-label practice in pediatrics requires relentless engagement from all the health professionals involved. Community pharmacists are the last ones in the prescribing-dispensing chain; therefore, they have the key responsibility of verifying the correctness of a treatment. A cross-sectional study was conducted for assessing the awareness and views of Romanian community pharmacists, regarding off-label drugs in the pediatric population, through a 28-item questionnaire comprising five sections of different topics (general knowledge, frequency of prescribing and dispensing off-label medication, views, and attitudes).

Purpose: We aimed to investigate the effects of Fresnel prism treatment for small-angle esotropia (≤ 20 prism diopters [PD]) with fixation preference.
Methods: We included 32 patients with remaining esotropia ≤ 20 PD measured using the simultaneous prism and cover test (SPCT) after full refractive error correction. Fresnel prism was applied to make patients orthotropic with glasses.

Background: Intensive medical care units (IMCUs) usually admit patients who are in critical medical need and require the utmost attention of healthcare professionals, along with the best treatment options available. These patients are prone to infections and require various antibiotics for the treatment. Varying costs of antibiotics, variable dosage forms, and antibiotic resistance cause an economic burden on patients Methodology: This study was designed and conducted prospectively to evaluate the prescribing pattern of antibiotics at the IMCU in a tertiary care hospital.
