Cardiotoxicity remains a major challenge in drug development, accounting for 45% of medication withdrawals due to cardiac ischemia and arrhythmogenicity. To overcome the limitations of traditional multielectrode array (MEA)-based cardiotoxicity assays, we developed a Nafion-coated NanoMEA platform with decoupled reference electrodes, offering enhanced sensitivity for electrophysiological measurements. The 'Decoupled' configuration significantly reduced polarization resistance (Rp) from 12.

The multitarget oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor sorafenib is an effective first-line treatment option in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Through its mechanism of action, it has been associated with cardiotoxicity, mainly hypertension, which is usually low-grade and well-managed with behavioral changes and antihypertensor treatment adjustment, if needed. Acute, symptomatic heart failure is rarely described.

Doxorubicin is a chemotherapeutic drug utilized for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, but its clinical application is hampered by life-threatening cardiotoxicity, including cardiac dilation and heart failure. Mitophagy, a cargo-specific form of autophagy, is specifically used to eliminate damaged mitochondria in autophagosomes through hydrolytic degradation following fusion with lysosomes. Recent advances have unveiled a major role for defective mitophagy in the etiology of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.

Introduction: Advances in the early detection and treatment of cancer have significantly improved the prognosis of patients with cancer. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are effective targeted treatments for various malignancies that act by inhibiting kinase activity. Although these drugs share a common mechanism of action, they differ in their targeted kinases, pharmacokinetics, and side effects.

Jellyfish stings can trigger abrupt heart failure via toxins, leading acute mortality rise. Proposed mechanisms involve oxidative stress and apoptosis, but evidence for effective treatments is lacking. To explore the concrete molecular mechanisms of jellyfish toxin-induced cardiotoxicity and to explore effective therapeutic approaches, we established tentacle extract (TE) of jellyfish Nemopilema nomurai induced cardiotoxicity models in vivo and in vitro based Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) mice and H9C2 cells, respectively,.
