Metol (MTO), a commonly used photographic developer, has become an environmental pollutant due to its extensive use and subsequent release into water sources. The accumulation of MTO poses significant risks, including aquatic toxicity and potential bioaccumulation, leading to adverse effects on ecosystems. To address these environmental challenges, we developed a La₂NiO combined with graphene oxide (La₂NiO₄@GO) nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the ultrasensitive detection of MTO.

This study was conducted to develop biodegradable films using a combination of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and purified leaves extract of Astragalus tribuloides (ATE). Various traits of the films, including their morphology description, thermal behavior, tensile/elongation properties and physical characteristics were examined. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs showed smooth surface with small amounts of ATE, but rougher with higher concentrations of 1.

Beetles exhibit an extraordinary diversity of brilliant and colourful appearances and optical effects invisible to humans. Their underlying mechanisms have received some attention, but we know little about the ecological variables driving their evolution. Here we investigated environmental correlates of reflectivity and circular polarization in a group of optically diverse beetles (Scarabaeidae-Rutelinae).
