Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) can induce the cell cycle arrest in spermatogonia, and the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway plays a pivotal role in cell cycle progression, but the specific upstream regulatory mechanisms are not completely clarified. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether CXCL13 regulated the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway to participate in cell cycle arrest after mouse spermatogonia cell line (GC-1) exposure to TiO NPs. The GC-1 cells were treated with TiO NPs at different concentrations (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 μg/mL) for 24 h to detect cell viability, cell cycle distribution, CXCL13 protein, JAK2/STAT3 pathway-related proteins, and cell cycle-related proteins.

Artificially induced haploidy is lethal in vertebrates, although it is useful for genetic screening and genome editing due to its single set of genomes. Haploid embryonic stem (ES) cell lines in mammals contribute to genetic studies and the production of gametes derived from haploid ES cells. In fish breeding, doubled haploids (DHs) induced by artificially induced gynogenesis are used to generate isogenic gametes for cloning purposes.

Background: Plastic products use phthalate to enhance their flexibility, transparency, and stability, while behenic acid is a carboxylic acid with antioxidant activity.
Objectives: This study evaluates whether behenic acid can protect the testosterone cycle and prevent the sperm apoptosis and protein loss in phthalate-treated male rats.
Methods: There were 36 male albino rats in all, divided into six equal sets of six rats each: control, behenic acid (13 g/kg), behenic acid (26 g/kg), diethyl phthalate (10 mg/kg), behenic acid (13 g/kg) + diethyl phthalate (10 mg/kg), and behenic acid (26 g/kg) + diethyl phthalate (10 mg/kg)-treated groups.

Spermatogenesis is a highly complex and tightly regulated cellular differentiation process closely related to the productive performance of male livestock. We do not yet have a clear understanding of the spermatogenesis mechanism of buffalo. In this study, spermatogonia, spermatocytes and spermatids were analysed by flow cytometry.

The formation of mature spermatozoa originates from spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) located near the basement membrane of the seminiferous tubules. This developmental process, known as spermatogenesis, is tightly regulated to ensure continuous sperm production. A critical aspect of this regulation is the balance between SSC differentiation and self-renewal, which is directed by various factors guiding SSCs in either of these two directions.
