Introduction: Trapped fourth ventricle (TFV), which is a rare neurosurgical condition with multifactorial etiology, requires a prompt diagnosis and appropriate therapeutic method selection. We report a case of post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus and TFV incited/worsened by prematurity, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), mechanical ventilation, and concomitant fourth ventricle outlets stenosis; which displayed a delayed onset. This article addresses the proposed pathophysiology and the clinical importance of appropriate therapeutic strategies with a mini-review of the literature.

Introduction: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Post-hemorrhagic vasospasm with neurological deterioration is a major concern in this context. NicaPlant®, a modified release formulation of the calcium channel blocker nicardipine, has shown vasodilator efficacy preclinically and a similar formulation known as NPRI has shown anti-vasospasm activity in aSAH patients under compassionate use.

Its features include inherited heart defects, characteristic facial features, short stature, and mild retardation of motor skills. Although some cases of hydrocephalus related to COVID-19 infection have been reported, a clear association between these two entities is not universally recognized yet. Here, we report another interesting case of hydrocephalus in a 60-year-old man with a previous aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) who tested positive for COVID-19.

Introduction: Ventriculo-gallbladder shunt (VGS) has been recognized as a last-resort alternative to treat hydrocephalus when the peritoneum and/or other distal sites can no longer receive shunts. In some specific conditions, it may be conceded as a first-line treatment.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 6-month-old girl with progressive post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus who presented a concomitant chronic abdominal symptom.
