Three-body deprotonation fragmentation dynamics of C6H63+ induced by electron-impact ionization.

J Chem Phys

September 2024

MOE Key Laboratory for Nonequilibrium Synthesis and Modulation of Condensed Matter, School of Physics, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an 710049, China.

The three-body fragmentation dynamics of benzene trications C6H63+ induced by 200 eV electron-impact produced by a photoemission cathode is investigated. All three fragment ions are detected in coincidence, and their momentum vectors are determined by employing a COLTRIMS reaction microscope. The detailed kinematical information of three deprotonation fragmentation channels of H+ + C3H2+ + C3H3+, H+ + C2H3+ + C4H2+, and H+ + C2H2+ + C4H3+ are obtained.

Elongation of Very Long-Chain Fatty Acids (ELOVL) in Atopic Dermatitis and the Cutaneous Adverse Effect AGEP of Drugs.

Int J Mol Sci

August 2024

Institute of Precision Medicine, Medical and Life Sciences Faculty, Furtwangen University, Jakob-Kienzle-Str. 17, D-78054 Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common inflammatory skin disease, in particular among infants, and is characterized, among other things, by a modification in fatty acid and ceramide composition of the skin's stratum corneum. Palmitic acid and stearic acid, along with C-ceramide and 2-hydroxy C-ceramide, occur strikingly in AD. They coincide with a simultaneous decrease in very long-chain ceramides and ultra-long-chain ceramides, which form the outermost lipid barrier.

Theoretical Study on the Effect of Cyano- and Dimethylamine-Group on ESIPT Behavior and Luminescent Properties of Novel Flavone-Based Fluorophore.

J Fluoresc

August 2024

Department of Chemistry and Material Science, College of Science, Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing, 210037, People's Republic of China.

Recently, a new fluorescent senor based on 3-hydroxy-2-(naphthalen-2-yl)-4 H-chromen-4-one (HFN) for selective detection of HS was obtained in the experiment (Spectrochim. Acta Part A 271(2022)120962). Based on HFN, three new compounds (HFN1, HFN2 and HFN3) are designed to explore the influences of dimethylamine (-N(CH)) and cyano (-CN) groups on the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) process and luminescent features of HFN.

For developing and characterizing a novel compact D-T neutron spectrometer based on a single-crystal chemical vapor deposition diamond stack for plasma diagnostics toward future D-T fusion reactors, the initial measurement was performed using the accelerator-based D-T neutron sources OKTAVIAN at Osaka University. This neutron spectrometer was designed for the detection of 3-17 MeV neutrons and operated in the proton recoil telescope configuration by installing a polyethylene converter in front of the diamond stack. The measured neutron energy spectra were obtained by summing the energy of the recoil protons deposited in the diamond stack after the coincidence of the recoil protons identified by the time coincidence analysis.

Scintillating fibre detectors combine sub-mm resolution particle tracking, precise measurements of the particle stopping power and sub-ns time resolution. Typically, fibres are read out with silicon photomultipliers (SiPM). Hence, if fibres with a few hundred m diameter are used, either they are grouped together and coupled with a single SiPM, losing spatial resolution, or a very large number of electronic channels is required.
