Schizophrenia is a serious psychiatric condition requiring continuous treatment with antipsychotic medications available in different formulations, including oral antipsychotics (OAPs) and long-acting injectables (LAIs). This narrative review aims to comprehensively outline the advantages and disadvantages of OAPs and LAIs to support clinicians in choosing different formulations based on the presentation of clinical symptoms. An electronic search of the PubMed database was performed in June 2024, and additional articles were retrieved from the references or personal knowledge of the authors.

Following several reports on ligand-protected atom-precise nanoclusters which encapsulate hydrides as interstitial dopants within their icosahedral core, the stability, structure and bonding of MH@Ag and MH@Au (M = Mo-Ag; W-Au) 8-electron cores is investigated through DFT calculations. The encapsulation of up to = 3 hydrides appears to be possible but at the cost of substantial structural distortions. In most of the computed models, the hydrides are found nearly free to move inside their icosahedral cages.

The standard therapy for locally unresectable advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is comprised of chemoradiotherapy (CRT) before immunotherapy (IO) consolidation. However, how to predict treatment outcomes and recognize patients that will benefit from IO remain unclear. This study aimed to identify prognostic biomarkers by integrating computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics and genomics.

Introduction Immuno-oncology (IO) therapies have become integral to renal cell carcinoma (RCC) management, RCC remains a complex malignancy with diverse clinical behaviors and a heterogeneous tumor microenvironment, highlighting the need for predictive biomarkers to optimize therapy. Areas covered This review synthesizes recent findings from clinical trials, translational studies, and molecular analyses to provide an updated perspective on biomarker research for IO therapies in RCC. A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science for articles published between January 2010 and November 2024.
