After transplantation self-management is essential for graft survival and optimal quality of life. To address the need for home-based support in self-management, we implemented the "SelfCare after Renal Transplantation" (SeCReT) box, containing home-monitoring equipment combined with a smartphone application that was linked to the electronic patient records. This study investigated the uptake and continuation, protocol adherence, and subjective evaluation of this home-monitoring program.

Objectives: To analyse the content of letters written by female spouse primary caregivers of patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a devastating and terminal primary brain cancer, and give voice to their experiences for medical providers of patients with GBM.
Design: A qualitative study using reflexive thematic analysis of letters written by female spouses/life partners and primary caregivers of patients with GBM.
Participants: 101 current or former female spouse primary caregivers of patients with GBM wrote letters to share with the medical community between July 2019 and August 2019.

Transactional sex increases sub-Saharan African women's risk of HIV acquisition. We quantitatively explored the pathways contributing towards women's future engagement in transactional sex with casual partners and khwapheni (secret concurrent sex partners). We conducted secondary data analysis from a cluster randomised controlled trial in urban informal settlements in eThekwini Municipality.

The Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based healthcare systems are comprised of a large number of networked medical devices, wearables, and sensors that collect and transmit data to improve patient care. However, the enormous number of networked devices renders these systems vulnerable to assaults. To address these challenges, researchers advocated reducing execution time, leveraging cryptographic protocols to improve security and avoid assaults, and utilizing energy-efficient algorithms to minimize energy consumption during computation.
