The authors describe a case of pulmonary endarteritis and subsequent embolization to the lungs as a complication of a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Although 2-dimensional echocardiography has been shown to be of great value in the diagnosis of patients with infective endocarditis, echocardiographic detection of vegetation within the pulmonary artery and subsequent embolization to the lung is extremely rare and, to our knowledge, has been previously reported only in a few cases. In brief, our case not only shows the importance of echocardiography in making this rare diagnosis but also emphasizes the role of echocardiography as an effective means of following up such a case.

Objective: To study immediate therapeutic outcomes, subsequent fertility effects and menstrual changes in cesarean scar pregnancy patients who received uterine artery embolization with or without methotrexate followed by ultrasound guided curettage.
Materials And Methods: Totally, 82 patients who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in our study and divided into two groups. Group I included 50 patients who received uterine artery embolization and ultrasound guided curettage, and Group II had 32 patients who received uterine artery embolization plus methotrexate and ultrasound guided curettage.

Background: Hemoptysis is one of the major symptoms in patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD). However, its prevalence, incidence, and impact on long-term prognosis remain uncertain. We evaluated the incidence of clinically significant hemoptysis, and determined its association with mortality in patients with NTM-PD.

Rationale: We report the efficacy of combination prednisolone and intravenous (IV) rituximab as an immunosuppressive regimen for a young male presenting with extensive venous thromboembolism including a submassive pulmonary embolism secondary to life-threatening nephrotic syndrome from very high risk anti-phospholipase-A2 receptor (PLA2R) positive membranous nephropathy. Initial treatment was with mechanical thrombectomy and anticoagulation. Thereafter, oral prednisolone was initiated to induce remission, during a period of uninterrupted anticoagulation.

Transcatheter atrial septal defect closure is a prevalent minimally invasive treatment option but still has cerebrovascular accident (CVA) risk. An unusual thromboembolic CVA cause is device-related mechanical atrial injury. We describe the case of a patient with prior transcatheter atrial septal defect closure who had ongoing CVA despite anticoagulation.

We document a case of a 75-year-old patient with a history of hypercholesterolemia and hypertension, who underwent endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) for an infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) with common iliac artery ectasia. Despite an initially successful procedure, the patient experienced recurrent episodes of acute limb ischemia in his right leg. Subsequent imaging revealed thrombus formation distal to the stent graft, constituting a potential source of embolization, which warranted a reevaluation of the treatment strategy.
