The discovery and development of substances require new forms at a level which was considered satisfactory a few years ago. The research on secondary effects and drugs optimizations to new pharmaceutical forms. So, we can speak about the inclusion complexes. The purpose of the paper was to describe the cyclodextrins properties, the complexation process and the most important analysis methods for complexes between cyclodextrins and drugs.

Food freshness monitoring and volatile amine detection are key to food safety. In this study, we demonstrated the applicability of mixed-valence rhenium oxide quantum dots (MV-ReOQDs), synthesized via the hydrothermal reaction of α-cyclodextrin and rhenium ion precursors, in triethylamine (TEA) sensing. Spectroscopic correlation techniques showed that the developed MV-ReOQDs possessed mixed-valent rhenium, α-cyclodextrin as capped ligand, partially carbonized surface, and amorphous phase structure.

Niemann Pick Disease Type C (NP-C), a rare neurogenetic disease with no known cure, is caused by mutations in the cholesterol trafficking protein NPC1. This review focuses on the application of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) polymer nanocomposites (NCs) in the heavy metals (HMs) removal from contaminated water sources. This manuscript's originality consists of an in-depth analysis of recent advances in using β-cyclodextrin nanocomposites (β-CD-NCs) to remove HMs from wastewater, highlighting literature gaps, innovations, and challenges in this field, suggesting perspectives on existing theories, and outlining implications for future research directions. Combining nanoparticles with the β-CD polymer yields stable, reusable β-CD-NCs that are effective and efficient in HM adsorption.

Dopamine (DP), an essential neurotransmitter implicated in diverse brain functions, was investigated as a guest molecule within the host cavities of cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) and β-cyclodextrin (βCD) using isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), UV-titration, H NMR, molecular dynamics (MD) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
