The third, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomized, Intensive Care Bundle with Blood Pressure Reduction in Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage Trial (INTERACT3), has shown that a goal-directed multi-faceted Care Bundle incorporating protocols for the management of physiological variables was safe and effective for improving functional recovery in a broad range of patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The INTERACT3 Care Bundle included time- and target-based protocols for the management of early intensive lowering of systolic blood pressure (SBP, target <140mmHg), glucose control (target 6.1-7.

Introduction: There is an urgent need for cerebroprotective interventions to improve the suboptimal outcomes with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Despite the important role of nonmuscle myosin heavy chain IIA (NMMHC IIA) in the blood-brain barrier (BBB), its function in ICH remains unclear.
Objectives: The objective of this study is to explore how NMMHC IIA functions in ICH and to evaluate the effectiveness of targeting NMMHC IIA as a treatment for ICH.

Background: The closure of a pharmacy-led anticoagulation clinic, which provided point-of-care (POC) international normalized ratio (INR) testing and face-to-face visits, coupled with the transition to an academic physician-led clinic without POC INR testing and reliance on telephone communication, created significant challenges for warfarin management during the Coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The aim of this quality control project was to increase the percentage of patients on warfarin within the optimal time in therapeutic range (TTR) from 52.30% to 65.

Anticoagulant related nephropathy (ARN) is the result of glomerular hemorrhage in patients on systemic anticoagulation therapy or underlying coagulopathy. Red blood cells (RBC) that passed through the glomerular filtration barrier form RBC casts in the tubules, increase oxidative stress and result in acute tubular necrosis (ATN). The mechanisms of ARN still not completely discovered.
