Isolated polymeric Ag(I) coordination tubes are self-assembled from the rigid triamino ligands cis,cis-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane (cis-tach) and cis,trans-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane (trans-tach), forming two topologically equivalent framework motifs.

Biogenic hydroxyapatite is known for its osteoinductive potential due to its similarity to human bone and biocompatibility, but insufficient vascularization compared to autogenous bone during early implantation limits bone integration and osteogenesis. Fluorine has been shown to improve hydroxyapatite's mechanical properties and the coupling of osteogenic and angiogenic cells. In this study, fluorine-modified biogenic hydroxyapatite (FPHA) with varying fluorine concentrations was prepared and tested for its ability to promote vascularized osteogenesis.

Cilia in the fallopian tubes (CFT) play an important role in female infertility, but have not been explored comprehensively. This review reveals the detection techniques for CFT function and morphology, and the related analysis of female infertility and other gynaecological disorders. CFT differentiate from progenitor cells, and develop into primary cilia and motile cilia.

Background And Objectives: Opportunity salpingectomy (OS), or prophylactic removal of the fallopian tubes during an operation for another indication, is broadly accepted as a risk-reduction strategy for ovarian cancer during gynecological operations. However, OS during nongynecological abdominal surgery is rare in the United States. A better understanding of surgeon and patient attitudes and perceived barriers to OS during nongynecological surgeries may facilitate implementation in the United States.

Motile cilia are evolutionarily conserved organelles. In humans, multiciliated cells (MCCs), assembling several hundred motile cilia on their apical surface, are components of the monolayer epithelia lining lower and upper airways, brain ventricles, and parts of the reproductive tracts, the fallopian tube and uterus in females, and efferent ductules in males. The coordinated beating of cilia generates a force that enables a shift of the tubular fluid, particles, or cells along the surface of the ciliated epithelia.

In flowering plants, the success of fertilization depends on the rapid polar extension of a pollen tube, which delivers sperm cells to the female gametophyte for fertilization. Numerous studies have shown that the microenvironment in planta is more conducive to the growth and development of pollen tubes than that in vitro. However, how stigma factors coordinate to regulate pollen tube growth is still poorly understood.
