The clinical features of Schönlein-Henoch Purpura (SHP) consist of non-thrombocytopenic purpura in association with joint, gastrointestinal and renal involvements. Because it is uncommon in adults, there is little information on the effects of SHP on pregnancy in the literature. This report documents the clinical findings and outcome of an uncommon case of SHP affecting a woman who was 25 weeks pregnant. Prompt steroid-therapy induced a rapidly favorable course and successful vaginal delivery at 40 weeks gestation. If SHP develops during pregnancy, it is not always easy to distinguish from obstetrical complications such as pre-eclampsia. An early diagnosis is important especially if renal involvement exists, because the prognosis for this disease can include nephropathy and it therefore needs close monitoring.

Background: The factors influencing diffuse crescentic glomerulonephritis renal survival and prognosis remain uncertain. Additionally, there's no literature on the clinical outcomes of IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and IgA vasculitis nephritis in type II patients.
Methods: This study retrospectively examined 107 patients diagnosed with diffuse crescentic glomerulonephritis through biopsy.

Background: The cortical gray matter-white matter interface (GWI) is a natural transition zone where the composition of brain tissue abruptly changes and is a location for pathologic change in brain disorders. While diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) is a reliable and well-established technique to characterize brain microstructure, the GWI is difficult to assess with dMRI due to partial volume effects and is normally excluded from such studies.
Methods: In this study, we introduce an approach to characterize the dMRI microstructural profile across the GWI and to assess the sharpness of the microstructural transition from cortical gray matter (GM) to white matter (WM).

Vitamin B12 deficiency is a potentially severe condition with clinical manifestations ranging from nonspecific symptoms, such as asthenia and glossitis, to severe hematological problems, including pancytopenia and megaloblastic anemia. One of the rare phenomena associated with this condition is pseudo-thrombotic microangiopathy (pseudo-TMA), which can mimic diseases such as thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), leading to possible misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment. In this article, we present the case of a 62-year-old man with a history of intravenous drug use, untreated hepatitis C, smoking, and alcoholism.

IgA vasculitis (IgAV) generally occurs in young people and presents with a tetrad of symptoms: purpura, abdominal pain, arthralgia, and nephritis. However, it may have an atypical course without the typical tetrad. Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH), heart failure, and stroke are known complications of IgAV but are all very rare.

Cryoglobulinemic vasculitis is a rare small-vessel vasculitis leading to multi-organ dysfunction, often associated with chronic infections like hepatitis C virus (HCV), and autoimmune disorders. Most cases involve mixed monoclonal or polyclonal immunoglobulins, presenting symptoms such as purpura, arthralgias, and weakness. Severe organ involvement, particularly cardiac, is rare but potentially life-threatening.
