Objective: Although extant research points to NonVerbal Learning Disability (NVLD) as a distinct disorder, it is not included in the diagnostic nomenclatures, and there is heterogeneity in how it is defined. We formed a working group to gain consensus on a standard DSM type definition for NVLD, a necessary first step for proposing its inclusion in future DSMs and renamed the disorder to better reflect the core deficit - visual-spatial problems.
Method: An iterative process was used to reach consensus on a DSM style criteria set that reconceptualizes NVLD as Developmental Visual-Spatial Disorder (DVSD).

Introduction: Modifiable Areal Unit Problems are a major source of spatial uncertainty, but their impact on infectious diseases and epidemic detection is unknown.
Methods: CMS claims (2016-2019) which included infectious disease codes learned through Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT) were extracted and analysed at two different units of geography; states and 'home to work commute extent' mega regions. Analysis was per member per month.
New taxonomic data and distribution records on liocranid spiders in the West Palaearctic are provided. Nine species of Mesiotelus Simon, 1897 are described as new to science: M. alanyensis Zamani, Fomichev, Kaya & Marusik, sp.

The European Union (EU) Medical Device Regulation and In Vitro Medical Device Regulation have introduced more rigorous regulatory requirements for medical devices, including new rules for post-market surveillance. However, EU market vigilance is limited by the absence of harmonized reporting systems, languages and nomenclatures among Member States. Our aim was to develop a framework based on Natural Language Processing capable of automatically collecting publicly available Field Safety Notices (FSNs) reporting medical device problems by applying web scraping to EU authority websites, to attribute the most suitable device category based on the European Medical Device Nomenclature (EMDN), and to display processed FSNs in an aggregated way to allow multiple queries.
