The currently observed development of time-sensitive applications also affects wireless communication with the IoT carried by UAVs. Although research on wireless low-latency networks has matured, there are still issues to solve at the transport layer. Since there is a general agreement that classical transport solutions are not able to achieve end-to-end delays in the single-digit millisecond range, in this paper, the use of WebRTC is proposed as a potential solution to this problem.

Induction motors are essential components in industry due to their efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This study presents an innovative methodology for automatic fault detection by analyzing images generated from the Fourier spectra of current signals using deep learning techniques. A new preprocessing technique incorporating a distinctive background to enhance spectral feature learning is proposed, enabling the detection of four types of faults: healthy motor coupled to a generator with a broken bar (HGB), broken rotor bar (BRB), race bearing fault (RBF), and bearing ball fault (BBF).

Sleep posture is a key factor in assessing sleep quality, especially for individuals with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), where the sleeping position directly affects breathing patterns: the side position alleviates symptoms, while the supine position exacerbates them. Accurate detection of sleep posture is essential in assessing and improving sleep quality. Automatic sleep posture detection systems, both wearable and non-wearable, have been developed to assess sleep quality.

Discretely monitoring traffic systems and tracking payloads on vehicle targets can be challenging when traversal occurs off main roads where overhead traffic cameras are not present. This work proposes a portable roadside vehicle detection system as part of a solution for tracking traffic along any path. Training semantic segmentation networks to automatically detect specific types of vehicles while ignoring others will allow the user to track payloads present only on certain vehicles of interest, such as train cars or semi-trucks.
