Installing photovoltaic systems (PVs) on building rooftops is a viable and sustainable alternative to meet the growing demand for electricity in cities. This work develops a methodology that uses LiDAR (laser imaging detection and ranging) technology and roof footprints to obtain a three-dimensional representation of the rooftops in the urban centre of Santa Isabel (Azuay, Ecuador). This allowed the determination of characteristics such as area, slope, orientation, and received solar radiation, making it possible to calculate the rooftop's theoretical, technical, and economic photovoltaic potential.

Placenta tissue has biological advantages, including anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fibrotic formation, and immunomodulatory properties. The amnion membrane (AM) is an inner side membrane of the placenta that faces the fetus. The main sources of amnion are humans and animals, with bovine being one of the significant sources.

This self-trapped soliton train is leveraged to implement self-referenced multiplex coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (SR-M-CARS) imaging. Simulations and experiments illustrating the filamentation process and the concatenation of focusing-defocusing cycles in ceramic and crystal YAG are presented.

Objectives: The research objectives were to identify and synthesise prevailing definitions and indices of resilience in maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and propose a harmonised definition of resilience in MNCH research and health programmes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Design: Scoping review using Arksey and O'Malley's framework and a Delphi survey for consensus building.
Participants: Mothers, new-borns, and children living in low- and middle-income countries were selected as participants.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive disorder that affects the nervous system and causes regions of the brain to deteriorate. In this study, we investigated the effects of MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) for the delivery of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on the 6-hydroxydopamine (6-HODA)-induced PD rat model. MRgFUS-induced blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability modulation was conducted using an acoustic controller with the targets at the striatum (ST) and SN.
