Objectives: We report one case of urachus diverticulum. It is very rare in adults so that the level of diagnostic suspicion is low.
Methods: 50-year-old male without history of urologic diseases who presented with recurrent urinary tract infections over a two-year period. There were not findings on physical examination. Abdominal ultrasound showed a 3 x 2 cm cystic image with internal echoes on the bladder dome. CT scan confirmed the cystic lesion which thickened the bladder wall at the dome. The patient underwent surgery for the excision of a suspected urachal cyst.
Results And Conclusions: In order of frequency, the 4 types of urachal congenital abnormalities are: permeable urachus (50%), urachal cyst (30%), urachal sinus (15%), and urachal diverticulum (5%). The indication of surgery comes from the possibility of infection and malignant transformation; the cyst should be excised with a bladder dome cuff due to the risk of existence of urachal remnants at that level and their potential to degenerate to adenocarcinoma.

We report the case of a 41-year-old man who presented with gross hematuria and a bladder tumor on ultrasonography. Magnetic resonance imaging indicated a possible muscle-invasive bladder cancer or urachal carcinoma. Following transurethral resection of the bladder tumor, histopathological findings revealed an adenocarcinoma similar to colorectal cancer.

The Senhance robotic system (Asensus Surgical, Durham, NC, USA) is an innovative platform for minimally invasive surgery. It enables surgeons to perform precise and cost-effective procedures using reusable instruments and has advanced features such as haptic feedback and eye-tracking camera control. Herein, we present the first application of the "double bipolar method" (DBM) in a Senhance-assisted laparoscopic partial cystectomy utilizing 3 mm Maryland bipolar instruments.

Background: Abdominoperineal resection (APR) is the standard treatment for locally advanced distal rectal cancer (LADRC) following neoadjuvant treatment when sphincter-preserving procedures are inapplicable. However, complications such as perineal site infection, perineal hernia and postoperative ileus remain ongoing challenges. We aimed to compare the rate of postoperative ileus due to pelvic incarceration in APR patients with/without pelvic inlet closure.

The (bladderworts) species are carnivorous plants that prey mainly on invertebrates using traps (bladders) of leaf origin. On the outer surfaces of the trap, there are dome-shaped glands (capitate trichomes). Each such trichome consists of a basal cell, a pedestal cell, and a terminal cell.
