Dynamic switching of transmission modes hydroacoustic communication MAC protocols.

Sci Rep

CETC POTEVIO SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, Guangzhou, 510310, P.R. China.

In recent years, the hydroacoustic communication MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol has attracted wide attention. Hydroacoustic communication networks suffer from issues such as long propagation delays and rapid dynamic changes in network load, which prevent the maximization of network performance through the use of a single transmission mode. In this paper, we propose a Dynamic Switching Transmission MAC protocol called the DSTM-MAC protocol.

In-band full-duplex communication has the potential to double the wireless channel capacity. However, how to efficiently transform the full-duplex gain at the physical layer into network throughput improvement is still a challenge, especially in dynamic communication environments. This paper presents a reinforcement learning-based full-duplex (RLFD) medium access control (MAC) protocol for wireless local-area networks (WLANs) with full-duplex access points.

VPS28 (vacuolar protein sorting 28) is a subunit of the endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRTs) and is involved in ubiquitination. Ubiquitination is a critical system for protein degradation in eukaryotes. Considering the recent findings on the role of ubiquitination in the regulation of lipid metabolism, we hypothesized that VPS28 might affect the expression of genes involved in milk fat synthesis.

December 2024

Tianjin Key Laboratory of Food Science and Health, School of Medicine, Nankai University, Tianjin 300071, China. Electronic address:

Food allergy is increasingly prevalent and poses notable health risks, which underscores the urgent need to develop reliable and sensitive detection methods for effective identification of food allergens. This study aims to address the limitations of existing methods by developing an immunoassay utilizing bacteriophage/carbon dots (CDs)@silica core-shell nanospheres. Two CDs with different emission wavelengths (513 nm for Green CDs, 645 nm for Red CDs) were synthesized for signal development and amplification.

Objective: With the increasing energy surrounding the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) models, the use of the same external validation dataset by various developers allows for a direct comparison of model performance. Through our High Throughput Truthing project, we are creating a validation dataset for AI/ML models trained in the assessment of stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (sTILs) in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Materials And Methods: We obtained clinical metadata for hematoxylin and eosin-stained glass slides and corresponding scanned whole slide images (WSIs) of TNBC core biopsies from two US academic medical centers.
