Alive & Thrive has been a major global nutrition initiative that aimed to learn how to improve maternal, infant, young child, and adolescent nutrition and health on a large scale. During 2009-2014, Alive & Thrive developed and implemented interventions to improve infant and young child feeding at scale in three countries. Subsequently, Alive & Thrive expanded its work to more than 15 geographies, including six country-specific and two regional programs, to additionally address maternal and adolescent nutrition while adding agriculture and social protection programs to improve maternal, infant, and young child nutrition.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a leading global cause of morbidity and mortality, with increasing evidence linking long-term exposure to ambient fine particulate matter (PM) to accelerated lung function decline and exacerbation of COPD symptoms. This study aimed to assess the global burden of PM-related COPD from 1990 to 2021 and project future health and economic impacts. Using Mendelian randomization, the causal relationship between PM exposure and COPD was confirmed.

The tools of structural biology have undergone remarkable advances in the past decade. These include new computational and experimental approaches that have enabled studies at a level of detail - and ease - that were not previously possible. Yet, significant deficiencies in our understanding of biomolecular function remain and new challenges must be overcome to go beyond static pictures towards a description of function in terms of structural dynamics.

The viewpoint that unitization provides a possibility of increasing the contribution of familiarity to associative memory has been widely accepted, but its effects on associative memory and recollection remain controversial. The current study aims to explain these mixed results by considering a potential moderator: changes in the level of unitization from encoding to retrieval phases. During the encoding phase, participants learned the related and unrelated picture pairs (i.
