Retroperitoneal haemorrhage due to metastatic disease is a rare event not previously reported in lymphomas. We describe a 36-year-old woman diagnosed with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of bone marrow, liver and spleen presenting in the leukaemic phase. The patient attained complete remission after 'ALL-like' chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriamycin, dexamethasone); 22 months later, she developed an isolated central nervous system (CNS) relapse which was successfully managed with a combination of chemotherapy and CNS irradiation. Six months later, she was rehospitalized because of abdominal pain; an MRI revealed a large haemorrhagic mass in the left adrenal. Surgical removal of the lesion confirmed an adrenal relapse of the primary DLBCL.

Chronic elevated blood pressure impinges on the functioning of multiple organs and therefore harms body homeostasis. Elucidating the protective mechanisms whereby the organism copes with sustained or repetitive blood pressure rises is therefore a topical challenge. Here we address this issue in the adrenal medulla, the master neuroendocrine tissue involved in the secretion of catecholamines, influential hormones in blood pressure regulation.

Pheochromocytoma and paragangliomas (PPGLs) crises can be triggered by various factors, including norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which worsen symptoms in patients with PPGLs. Therefore, attention should be paid to the potential for serious adverse reactions in patients with PPGLs taking ADHD medications. A 21-year-old man presented to the emergency department with acute onset of severe respiratory and circulatory failure after initiating atomoxetine treatment.

Objective: To study pregnancy outcomes and complications in women with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).

Methods: A retrospective multicenter study was conducted at tertiary reference centers in 5 countries (Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden, USA), including 72 adult women with CAH (nonclassic [NC] n = 34, simple virilizing [SV] n = 21, salt wasting [SW] n = 17).

Results: A total of 133 pregnancies, 112 live births, and 25 abortions were documented.

Background: Nuclear receptor subfamily 5 group A member 1 (NR5A1) plays pivotal roles in steroidogenesis and gonadal development. 46, XY disorder of sexual development (DSD) caused by NR5A1 mutations is a rare genetic condition. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the clinical characteristics and molecular defects observed in 19 Chinese patients with NR5A1 variants, including assessing the deleterious effects of novel variants in vitro and evaluating their functional impact on the gonad and adrenal glands in vivo.

Previous research has found brain structural and functional abnormalities in patients with insomnia disorder (ID). However, the relationship between brain abnormalities in ID and brain gene expression is unclear. This study explored the relationship between gene expression and brain structural or functional abnormalities in ID, and we validated the reliability of the results with two independent datasets (discover dataset: healthy control (HC) = 129, ID = 264; validation dataset: HC = 160, ID = 115).
