In 107 Rh(D)-immunized women having Rh(D)-positive pregnancy screening for IgG subtypes was carried out between the 34th and 36th week of gestation. Using polyclonal IgG subtype-specific reagents, all four IgG subclasses were detected in anti-D sera though IgG1 and IgG3 were the most predominant classes. IgG3 anti-D was usually low titre. At the same level of Rh(D) antibody titre, haemolytic disease of the new-born was more severe when anti-D was IgG1 type than IgG3 type. When the IgG1 and IgG3 anti-D subtypes existed together, the risk of having a stillborn child was very high compared to other subtypes (IgG1 + IgG3 34.8%, IgG1 19.2% and IgG3 15.4%).

Objectives: This case series describes adults with aquaporin 4 immunoglobulin G-seropositive (AQP4-IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) who switched treatment from eculizumab to satralizumab.
Methods: Case information for patients with AQP4-IgG+ NMOSD who received satralizumab for ≥6 months was obtained from US healthcare providers from April 2022 to January 2024. Patient characteristics, examination findings, diagnostic test results, treatment response, and adverse events were recorded.

Highly sensitized (HS) patients in need of kidney transplantation (KTx) typically spend a longer time waiting for compatible kidneys, are unlikely to receive an organ offer, and are at increased risk of antibody-mediated rejection (AMR). Desensitization using imlifidase, which is more rapid and removes total body immunoglobulin G (IgG) to a greater extent than other methods, enables transplantation to occur between HLA-incompatible (HLAi) donor-recipient pairs and allows patients to have greater access to KTx. However, when the project was launched there was limited data and clinical experience with desensitization in general and with imlifidase specifically.

Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease is a rare small vessel vasculitis caused by the deposition of immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies in the basement membrane of glomerular capillaries and lung alveoli, leading to rapidly progressive renal failure and/or alveolar hemorrhage. We report the case of an 83-year-old female patient presenting with uremic symptoms, rapidly progressive kidney failure, and a high titer of anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies. Given the urgent need for kidney replacement therapy, the substantial fibrosis and glomerular scarring observed in the kidney biopsy suggesting a chronic process, and the absence of pulmonary involvement, neither immunosuppressive treatment nor plasmapheresis was initiated, since a low likelihood of a favorable response to these interventions was expected.
