Objective: To compare the clinical value between chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) and immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) in detecting TSH in patients with hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
Methods: The TSH levels in serums were detected by CLIA and IRMA in 112 normal persons, 120 hyperthyroidism patients and 58 hypothyroidism patients.
Results: CLIA was significantly correlated with IRMA (r = 0.98, P < 0.01). CLIA had higher coincidence rate than IRMA in the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, and CLIA was more accurate and repetitive than IRMA.
Conclusion: CLIA is more valuable than IRMA in diagnosing both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Background And Aims: Dried blood spots (DBS) have been proposed as a cost-effective surveillance method for population-wide screening of SARS-CoV-2 immunity but sensitivity of DBS based on self-collected DBS samples is unknown. To evaluate the success of vaccination strategies, it is necessary to differentiate vaccination from natural infection. Therefore, a test for antibodies against the viral nucleocapsid protein (anti-N) is desirable.

Objective: The diagnosis and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) present significant challenges in clinical practice. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of tumor abnormal protein (TAP), Prothrombin induced by vitamin K absence-II (PIVKA-II), and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in diagnosing HCC as well as to investigate their prognostic significance in patients with HCC undergoing transarterial chemoembolization.
Methods: A total of 93 HCC patients were enrolled and 101 healthy individuals served as controls.

Background: The challenge of dealing with isolated reactive treponemal chemiluminescence immunoassay (CIA) results in clinical practice has prompted the development of a more efficient algorithm for distinguishing true infection from false reactivity in isolated CIA sera.
Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted at Wuhan Tongji Hospital, involving 119,002 individuals screened for syphilis using CIA from January 1, 2015, to January 6, 2017. Samples with reactive CIA results underwent simultaneous testing with the T.

Background: This study describes the seroconversion and serodynamics of IgG antibodies against the RBD of SARS-CoV-2 in the general population of Sleman District, Yogyakarta Special Province. We aim to identify possible factors that correlate with the seroconversion and serodynamics of IgG antibodies against the RBD of SARS-CoV-2.
Methods: We performed a longitudinal study of the population at Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
