Investigations into mechanisms of cyclic(al) vomiting syndrome (CVS) began at the bedside more than a century ago. The modern era started with the formation of the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association in 1993 that helped initiate robust efforts in education, advocacy, family physician conferences, scientific symposia, dedicated clinical programs, therapeutic guidelines, and research. Even today, bedside clues continue to emerge with the recent description of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) and subsequent evidence of a perturbed endocannabinoid system.

Background: Efficacy data on nonpharmacotherapy-based interventions such as cognitive retraining and mindfulness meditation on improving neuropsychological functioning in early Alzheimer's disease (AD) are sparse in Indian literature.

Objective: The objective of the study was to quantify the effect of cognitive retraining (CR) versus mindfulness training (MT) on neuropsychological test performance in patients with early AD.

Methods And Materials: We administered CR and MT strategies in two prospectively enrolled groups of individuals (N = 34) who met the criteria for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD.

Purpose: The conversion of knee arthrodesis to total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a challenging procedure. This article aims to report a case of fusion knee with patellar absence who was converted to TKA and has achieved good results.

Methods: The patient, a 23 years old Tibetan Buddhist monk, sustained a left knee joint injury at the age of 12 due to a car accident, leading to subsequent knee arthrodesis at 18 years old as a result of recurrent severe infections.
