Background: Robotic ventral hernia repair has been increasing globally, with comparable outcomes to laparoscopic repair and lower rates of conversion to open surgery. Robotic surgery is increasing in popularity, and there is a number of new robotic systems entering the marketing. We report the first case of a Roboic eTEP using the Versius robotic system in a patient with an incisional hernia.

A 44-year-old man with hypertension and dyslipidemia presented with pain in the buttocks. The patient was diagnosed with perianal ischiorectal fossa abscesses and cellulitis. He was subsequently diagnosed with a perineal subcutaneous abscess after a week, a right lower leg impetigo after a month, right periorchitis, a scrotal abscess, and Fournier's gangrene after two months.

Objectives: Single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) and robotic SILS (rSILS) have been found to be safe, minimally invasive techniques in gynaecology. However, one major perceived drawback of these techniques is the increased risk of incisional hernia, compared to multiport laparoscopy or robotic surgery.
