This article is aimed at the graduate who is beginning to consider career options, and at the slightly more experienced practitioner, who may be uncertain about changing direction in his or her career development. It is hoped that the paper will enable a wider consideration of the implications of a decision to embark on a career pathway as a specialist.

As one of the most common solid pediatric cancers, Neuroblastoma (NBL) accounts for 15% of all of the cancer-related mortalities in infants with increasing incidence all around the world. Despite current therapeutic approaches for NBL (radiotherapies, surgeries, and chemotherapies), these approaches could not be beneficial for all of patients with NBL due to their low effectiveness, and some severe side effects. These challenges lead basic medical scientists and clinical specialists toward an optimal medical interventions for clinical management of NBL.

Background: The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is a regional, community-based Indigenous health authority in Northern Ontario, Canada. From September 2022 to March 2023, the WAHA and University Health Network engaged in a partnership that designed a collaborative model of care to address inequities in cardiology specialist access in Northern Ontario. Previous efforts to synthesize the rapidly accruing evidence regarding estimation and management of fracture risk in kidney transplant recipients are outdated and incomplete.
Objective: To synthesize the evidence informing the overall incidence, patient-specific risk prediction, and methods of prevention of fractures in patient living with a kidney transplant.
