The author draws a parallel between pathogenetic mechanisms of those changes described by N. D. Strazhesko in different forms of pathology of the cardiovascular system and its disorders in different forms of occupational pathology caused by adverse impact on the organism of chemical, physical, biological, and other factors of the working environment and labour process. This permits the methodological principles of diagnosis of the cardiovascular pathologies laid by N. D. Strazhesko to be used in management of occupational diseases.
