Background: Heart failure (HF) is a chronic, progressive condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. In addition to the daily challenges that HF poses, acute exacerbations can lead to costly hospitalizations and increased mortality. High health care costs and the burden of HF have led to the emerging application of new technologies to support people living with HF to stay well while living in the community.

ERMP1 is involved in the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) pathway in response to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Given the pivotal role of ER stress in the pathogenesis of acute and chronic kidney diseases, we hypothesized that ERMP1 could be instrumental in the development of renal injury. analysis of RNA sequencing datasets from renal biopsies were exploited to assess the expression of ERMP1 in the kidney under normal or pathological conditions.

In this study, we present a case report concerning a 77-year-old female patient who experienced an acute exacerbation of chronic heart failure, subsequently developing severe septic shock due to necrotizing fasciitis caused by . Infections caused by are more prevalent during warmer months, particularly in regions characterized by dense aquaculture or the presence of natural water bodies.

Introduction: In Mexico, respiratory diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), acute respiratory infections (ARI), pertussis (Pt), and pneumonia-bronchopneumonia (Nemu) represent critical public health challenges that contribute to morbidity and mortality and are exacerbated by socioeconomic factors and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Objective: To evaluate the trends, seasonal patterns, and geographic distribution of major respiratory diseases in Mexico between 2000 and 2020.
Methodology: Data from the National Epidemiologic Surveillance System were analyzed using advanced statistical methods, including Kruskal-Wallis tests, Mann-Whitney analysis, and multivariate analysis, to identify temporal and regional variations.

Postnatal growth retardation (PGR) frequently occurs during early postnatal development of piglets and induces high mortality. To date, the mechanism of PGR remains poorly understood. Adipose tissue-derived microbes have been documented to be associated with several disorders of metabolism and body growth.
