Background: As the mandatory X-waiver requirements for prescribing buprenorphine have recently been lifted, general practitioners are being relied on to fill the treatment gap in prescribing medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). However, insufficient clinician education remains a major barrier to prescribing MOUD in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Objective: To evaluate the impact of a new MOUD curriculum on internal medicine (IM) residents' attitudes, comfort, and knowledge of buprenorphine in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Serious illnesses like cancer disproportionately affect American Indians and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Peoples. AI/AN patients deserve culturally responsive healthcare at all times, and especially when journeying through serious illness. To learn about specific clinician-related factors that AI/AN cancer survivors, caregivers, Tribal leaders, and traditional healers want from their clinicians while experiencing cancer.

Most people with mental illness in low and middle-income countries (LMICs) do not receive biomedical treatment, though many seek care from traditional healers and faith healers. We conducted a qualitative study in Buyende District, Uganda, using framework analysis. Data collection included interviews with 24 traditional healers, 20 faith healers, and 23 biomedical providers, plus 4 focus group discussions.

The pathology of urticaria is complex. Recently, researchers have widely focused on the role that the coagulation/fibrinolysis system plays in the pathology of urticaria. The potential of coagulation/fibrinolysis biomarkers as disease severity or treatment response biomarkers remains uncertain, lacking comprehensive analysis in previous studies.

Background: Trajectory modeling is a long-standing challenge in the application of computational methods to health care. In the age of big data, traditional statistical and machine learning methods do not achieve satisfactory results as they often fail to capture the complex underlying distributions of multimodal health data and long-term dependencies throughout medical histories. Recent advances in generative artificial intelligence (AI) have provided powerful tools to represent complex distributions and patterns with minimal underlying assumptions, with major impact in fields such as finance and environmental sciences, prompting researchers to apply these methods for disease modeling in health care.
