The paper presents the data of a comparative analysis of the specific features of an educational process and the routine for senior pupils of biochemical lyceums and those of secondary educational schools. The organization of an educational process in the senior forms of biochemical lyceums is not optimal and, which is more, health-promoting. Good training for entering a higher educational establishment is a high "physiological price": not getting enough sleep, insufficient being in fresh air, no spare time, and mental and emotional stress. This contingent is certain to require more control of their health status, the conditions and organization of schooling, and active measures aimed at their improvement and optimization.

sly-miR408b Targets a Plastocyanin-Like Protein to Regulate Mycorrhizal Symbiosis in Tomato.

Plant Cell Environ

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Ministry of Education for Genetics, Breeding and Multiple Utilization of Crops, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fuzhou, China.

Symbiosis between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and plants plays a crucial role in nutrient acquisition and stress resistance for terrestrial plants. microRNAs have been reported to participate in the regulation of mycorrhizal symbiosis by controlling the expression of their target genes. Herein, we found that sly-miR408b was significantly downregulated in response to mycorrhizal colonisation.

Background: Intertemporal choices are the process by which people make choices about losses or gains at different points in time (near or far). To explore the relationship between font color and intertemporal choice and to examine the serial mediation of time perception and intradimensional difference comparison on the association between font color and intertemporal choice on the basis of attribute-based choice models.

Methods: We randomly assigned subjects to the intertemporal choices questionnaire in a specific font color (blue vs.

Brain iron deposition and cognitive decline in patients with cerebral small vessel disease : a quantitative susceptibility mapping study.

Alzheimers Res Ther

January 2025

Department of Radiology, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York, NY, USA, Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA.

Background: Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) can study the susceptibility values of brain tissue which allows for noninvasive examination of local brain iron levels in both normal and pathological conditions.

Purpose: Our study compares brain iron deposition in gray matter (GM) nuclei between cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) patients and healthy controls (HCs), exploring factors that affect iron deposition and cognitive function.

Materials And Methods: A total of 321 subjects were enrolled in this study.

Maladaptive changes in the homeostasis of AEA-TRPV1/CB1R induces pain-related hyperactivity of nociceptors after spinal cord injury.

Cell Biosci

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Medical Neurobiology and MOE Frontiers Center for Brain Science, Fudan University, Shanghai, 200438, People's Republic of China.

Background: Neuropathic pain resulting from spinal cord injury (SCI) is associated with persistent hyperactivity of primary nociceptors. Anandamide (AEA) has been reported to modulate neuronal excitability and synaptic transmission through activation of cannabinoid type-1 receptors (CB1Rs) and transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1). However, the role of AEA and these receptors in the hyperactivity of nociceptors after SCI remains unclear.
