A possibility of using the amplification of gene HN fragment in combination with nucleotide cDNA sequencing for the purpose of identification and strain differentiation of bovine parainfluenza-3 virus was demonstrated. A comparative analysis of the primary structure in the studied HN gene fragment revealed 2 genetic groups among the investigated virus' strains and isolates. Group 1 is made up of Northern American viral strains and of Russian isolates, whose primary structure has a high level of homology to the primary SF-4/32 strain structure; group 2 comprises the virus' Russian isolates with a high level of homology to the mentioned strains to Japanese strains' sequences. The biggest differences between the studied strains and the viral isolates amounted to around 8%, when the nucleotide sequences were compared, and to around 4%, when the corresponding amino-acid sequences were compared.

A limited number of female germ cells support reproduction in many mammals. The follicle, composed of oocytes and supporting granulosa cells, forms the basis of oogenesis. Crosstalk between oocytes and granulosa cells is essential for the formation, dormancy, re-awakening, and maturation of oocytes.

Economic losses in cattle farms are frequently associated with failed pregnancies. Some studies found that the transcriptomic profiles of blood and endometrial tissues in cattle with varying pregnancy outcomes display discrepancies even before artificial insemination (AI) or embryo transfer (ET). In the study, 330 samples from seven distinct sources and two tissue types were integrated and divided into two groups based on the ability to establish and maintain pregnancy after AI or ET: P (pregnant) and NP (nonpregnant).

This study employed proteomics and phosphoproteomics to compare protein expression and phosphorylation modifications in the milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) of human and bovine mature milk. A total of 410 proteins and 73 phosphorylation sites on 49 proteins were identified in the MFGM of bovine and human mature milk, respectively. Differential analysis revealed 40 differentially expressed proteins and 8 differentially phosphorylated sites, followed by bioinformatics analysis.

Introduction: Before performing cell therapy clinical trials, it is important to understand how cells are influenced by different growth conditions and to find optimal xeno-free medium formulations. In this study we have investigated the properties of adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) cultured under xeno-free conditions.
Methods: Human lipoaspirate samples were digested to yield the stromal vascular fraction cells which were then seeded in i) Minimum Essential Medium-α (MEM-α) supplemented with 10 % (v/v) fetal bovine serum (FBS), ii) MEM-α supplemented with 2 % (v/v) human platelet lysate (PLT) or iii) PRIME-XV MSC expansion XSFM xeno-free, serum free medium (XV).

Background: The growth and health of young ruminants are regulated by their gut microbiome, which can have lifelong consequences. Compared with subjective grouping, phenotypic clustering might be a more comprehensive approach to revealing the relationship between calf growth state and core gut microbes. However, the identification of beneficial gut bacteria and its internal mechanisms of shaping host phenotype differentiation remains unclear.
