We report a case of lethal multiple pterygium syndrome (LMPS). Intrauterine fetal demise was diagnosed at 31 weeks' estimated gestational age. Subsequent fetopsy established the diagnosis of LMPS. Macroscopic, microscopic, and radiographic findings in the case are discussed, and LMPS is reviewed.

This study aims to identify the function of the () gene in the kidneys of . CYP2E1 is a significant metabolic enzyme involved in the metabolism of various endogenous and exogenous compounds and is associated with the occurrence and progression of multiple diseases. Given 's ability to survive in the extremely arid , we hypothesize that CYP2E1 in its kidneys plays a crucial role in adaptability.

Cell viability assays are an integral component of toxicology and high-throughput drug screening studies; however, many assays rely on a single biomarker of cell death which provides an incomplete assessment of cell viability. Here, we introduce an innovative approach that combines data from multiple assays using a linear mixed effects regression model and principal component analysis. We explored the cytotoxic response of various assay-treatment combinations using four assays with distinct mechanisms of action and seven different treatments across three types of microtissue cultures.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy, characterized by multiple histological subtypes, each with distinct pathological and clinical features. Current treatment approaches include cytotoxic chemotherapies, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors, bevacizumab, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). In this review we discuss immune evasion mechanisms in OC and the role of genetics, the tumor microenvironment, and tumor heterogeneity in influencing these processes.

Background: Polypeptide vaccines have the potential to improve immune responses by targeting conserved and weakly immunogenic regions in antigens. This study aimed to identify and evaluate the efficacy of a novel influenza universal vaccine candidate consisting of multiple polypeptides derived from highly conserved regions of influenza virus proteins hemagglutinin (HA), neuraminidase (NA), and matrix protein 2 (M2).
Methods: Immunoinformatics tools were used to screen conserved epitopes from different influenza virus subtypes (H1N1, H3N2, H5N1, H7N9, H9N2, and IBV).

In this study, copper nanoparticles with an average particle size of 2-4 nm were synthesized using the green extract of Thunb. The catalytic activity and dye degradation efficiency of Cu NPs were evaluated using ultraviolet spectroscopy. To confirm that Cu NPs can continuously remove organic dyes, this study used Cu/Lj-C composite material adsorbed on cotton balls as a simulated bed to study the cyclic catalytic activity of Cu NPs for the reduction of methylene blue by sodium borohydride (NaBH).
