Violence Against Women

A limited qualitative literature explores children's lived experiences of violence; boys' relationships with perpetrator fathers remain largely unexplored. Drawing on interviews with 31 boys, this paper explores the accounts of their relationships with their perpetrator fathers, focusing particularly on the implications of boys' understanding of these relationships for their sense of burgeoning masculinity. Three themes are considered: in (a) relational ambiguity; (b) performing masculinities, managing violence; and (c) envisioning alternative futures and re-visioning the past.

For nurse leaders to excel in leadership roles in the clinical world of informatics, a comprehensive understanding of nursing informatics as translated within the broader scope of health informatics including clinical informatics and business intelligence is necessary. The translation of nursing informatics in the comprehensive scope of health informatics is not consistently taught in graduate nursing leadership curricula. Collaboratively, from an interprofessional education stance, a graduate nurse informatics course was re-visioned using translational pedagogy: the idea of teaching related concepts by translating each and vice versa.

To improve the quality of care for Indigenous patients, local Indigenous leaders in the Northwest Territories, Canada have called for more culturally responsive models for Indigenous and biomedical healthcare collaboration at Stanton Territorial Hospital. This study examined how Indigenous patients and biomedical healthcare providers envision Indigenous healing practices working successfully with biomedical hospital care at Stanton Territorial Hospital. We carried out a qualitative study from May 2018 - June 2022.

Purpose: Psychosocial well-being is key to living well after stroke, but often significantly affected by stroke. Existing understandings consider well-being comes from positive mood, social relationships, self-identity and engagement in meaningful activities. However, these understandings are socioculturally located and not necessarily universally applicable.
