Debates over same-sex marriage have reached the main stage of contemporary U.S. politics. The purpose of this essay is to identify and examine how sexual ideologies in U.S. LGBT communities inform and influence relationship construction in general and same-sex marriage in particular. To accomplish this, we first discuss the nature of sexual ideologies. Next, we identify current sexual ideologies in LGBT communities and examine some of their fundamental features and their implications for relationship construction with a focus on same-sex marriage. We conclude with a discussion of what is potentially gained and lost by same-sex matrimonial bonds and explore some of the prospects of relationship construction within LGBT communities in the future.

The protective effect of parity has been demonstrated for cancer of the breast, ovary, and endometrium but no studies have estimated the effect of each subsequent birth in women with 10 or more children or grand-grand parity women, nor compared the linear relationship of the three cancers sites. Here, we aim to explore these relationships based on the Norwegian 1960 Census. The question of parity in present marriage was answered by 385,816 women born 1870-1915, a period with high fertility.

Romantic love plays a central role in the lives of individuals and influences decisions about lasting relationships such as marriage or cohabitation. To understand the dynamics of intimate relationships, both personality traits and attitudes toward love styles need to be explored. This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the possible differences between married/cohabiting and single individuals in terms of Dark Triad personality traits and attitudes towards love styles, and to investigate which of these factors can significantly predict participants' relationship status.

Background: Increase in early onset colorectal cancer makes adherence to screening a significant public health concern, with various social determinants playing a crucial role in its incidence, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes. Stressful life events, such as divorce, marriage, or sudden loss of job, have a unique position among the social determinants of health.

Methods: We applied a large language model (LLM) to social history sections of clinical notes in the health records database of the Medical University of South Carolina to extract recent stressful life events and assess their impact on colorectal cancer screening adherence.
