Background And Objective: To validate the Spanish versions of both the Clinical Anxiety Scale (CAS) and the Physician Questionnaire (PQ) to assess the severity of symptoms in patients with Anxiety Disorders (AD) treated in ambulatory psychiatric care facilities.
Patients And Method: Observational, prospective and multi-centre study (15 psychiatric facilities included) with a follow-up of 1 to 6 weeks in clinically stable or unstable AD patients. We assessed their convergent validity (with the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale as reference), discriminant validity (as compared with the Clinical Global Impression), reliability (internal consistency, test-retest and inter-raters) and sensitivity to change.
Results: One hundred and sixty one AD patients were included (48 stable and 133 unstable patients). Both the CAS and the PQ showed appropriate convergent (r >= 0.70) and discriminant validity (p 0.001), internal consistency (Cronbach's a > 0.75), test-retest reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC] > 0,90), inter-raters reliability (ICC > 0.90) and sensitivity to change (p < 0.0001; effect size >= 1.5).
Conclusions: The Spanish versions of both rating scales show appropriate validity and reliability and thus can be used to assess the severity of anxiety symptoms and their change in AD patients treated in ambulatory care.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome causes psychological distress, worsened by kinesiophobia and pain catastrophizing. This study assesses whether combining capacitive-resistive monopolar radiofrequency with myofascial techniques is more effective than myofascial techniques alone for improving psychological outcomes such as kinesiophobia and catastrophizing.
Methods: This double-blind, randomized controlled trial enrolled 81 chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients (67.

Human biological and cultural evolution is tied to the relationships established with other animals. Attachment is one of the mechanisms established between dogs/cats and humans and allows the generation of affective bonds and close proximity. Many instruments have been used to study attachment of people to their dogs/cats, such as the Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale (LAPS).

Assessing parental aesthetic acceptability of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) staining is crucial for its potential implementation in paediatric dentistry in different regions. This study aimed to compare aesthetic perceptions and acceptance of SDF staining between Spanish and Italian parents, and assess weather acceptability is influenced by location, child's cooperation, or demographic background. A cross-sectional comparative study was conducted among Spanish and Italian parents at three university dental clinics, using a validated Italian version of the questionnaire "Parental perceptions of Silver Diamine Fluoride Dental Color Changes".

Background And Aims: Previous results of the Dermatology-Life-Quality-Index (DLQI) validation in Colombia based on the classical test theory (CTT) perspective have showed the need to delve into its measurement properties. Therefore, we aimed to assess the structural validity, internal consistency and item response analysis of the DLQI through the item response theory (IRT) or the Rasch model.
Material And Methods: We assessed the dimensionality of the DLQI, determined its difficulty, discrimination and differential functioning and went on to evaluate its internal consistency and discriminative validity among patients with inflammatory and non-inflammatory skin disease.

: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in pediatric patients often leads to emotional distress, impacting self-management. The PAID-Peds survey measures diabetes-related emotional burden but lacks a validated Spanish version. This study aimed to validate the Spanish PAID-Peds survey in children and adolescents with T1DM and correlate it with diabetic metabolic control parameters.
