Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the value of acupuncture (AP) in the conversion of fetal breech presentation into vertex presentation.
Patients And Methods: A randomized prospective controlled clinical study included 67 pregnant women with fetal breech presentation: 34 women with singleton pregnancies treated with manual AP (urinary bladder 67, Zhiyin) and a control group which included 33 women with singleton pregnancies without AP treatment. The AP treatment lasted 30 min a day, and was conducted during and after 34 weeks of pregnancy with simultaneous cardiotocography.
Results: The success rate of the AP correction of fetal breech presentation is 76.4% (26 women), and spontaneous conversion without AP in vertex presentation is observed in 15 women (45.4%; p<0.001).
Conclusions: We believe that AP correction of fetal malpresentation is a relatively simple, efficacious and inexpensive method associated with a lower percentage of operatively completed deliveries, which definitely reflects in improved parameters of vital and perinatal statistics.

Major congenital anomalies (MCAs) are a public health concern. However, studies on obstetric outcomes in pregnancies complicated by MCAs are scarce, emphasizing the need for research to enhance management strategies. This study aimed to investigate the impact of MCAs on fetal presentation and delivery mode in the United Arab Emirates.

Background: Vaginal delivery in twins is feasible but challenging. Successful vaginal delivery of a non-vertex second twin depends on knowledge of specific obstetrical maneuvers. Skill acquisition at the patient's bedside is difficult, making simulation training an integral part of obstetrics and gynecology residency programs.

Background: Like other countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Madagascar has a high burden of maternal and neonatal mortality. However, as the proportion of foetal and placental abnormalities among the Malagasy population is unknown, strategies aimed at reducing maternal and neonatal mortality are challenging to define and implement.
Methods: We conducted a multi-year, cross-sectional study using secondary NGO data on obstetric ultrasound, including patient records of all pregnant women who received an obstetric ultrasound screening between July 1st, 2017, and September 30th, 2020, at 62 public-sector primary care facilities in urban and rural regions of Madagascar.

Background: Birth asphyxia is a critical condition caused by an insufficient oxygen supply during delivery, and it poses a major threat to the health of newborns. The present meta-analysis aimed to estimate the prevalence of birth asphyxia among neonates and identify its risk factors in China.
Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science, the China Academic Journals (CNKI), the Chinese Biomedical Literature (CBM), the China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), and the WanFang database were searched for related publications.
