Shifting to dietary patterns rich in plants and low in animal-source foods could substantially lower emissions from the food sector while reducing the global burden of non-communicable diseases. The EAT-Lancet Commission proposed the planetary health diet (PHD) to emphasise plant-forward diets and set global targets to guide an urgently needed food-system transformation. However, the PHD's meat-reduction approach has attracted criticism and prompted debate on the potential micronutrient shortfalls of the plant-forward dietary approach.

Influenced by urban expansion, population growth, and various socio-economic activities, land use in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) area has undergone prominent changes. Modifications in land use have resulted in adjustments to ecological structures, leading to subsequent fluctuations in carbon storage. This study focuses on YRD region and analyzes the characteristics of land use changes in the area using land use data from 2000 to 2020, with a 10-year interval.

Esca is the most destructive and predominant of grapevine trunk disease. The chronic infections and vine mortality caused by esca syndrome leads to huge economic losses and threatens the sustainability of vineyards worldwide. Esca is caused by numerous wood-decay and wood-decay associated fungi, but its full etiology remains unclear due to the grapevine trunk disease complex, making effective control methods challenging.
