Background: The American Society of Breast Surgeons was founded on the principal of professional and practical development of its members. The Society undertook a survey of its members to identify issues and concerns and to guide future action.
Methods: The survey was prepared by the membership committee and a website was created for responses and analysis. The survey was posted on the website and mailed to 1530 members. Overall there was a 31% response.
Results: Demographic data regarding practice patterns, technology utilization, and current problems showed a diverse Society with varying needs and problems.
Conclusions: The Society will pursue professional development in ultrasonography training, coding and reimbursement, and emerging technologies. The Society is committed to providing regional training programs, certification, and professional interaction. The Society will continue to look to the members for feedback and guidance.

Purpose: To assess the practice patterns among the Indian Pediatric Glaucoma Society (IPGS) members in the management of children with primary congenital glaucoma (PCG).
Methods: An anonymous 74-question survey was administered online via Qualtrics (Qualtrics, Provo, Utah, USA) using a link sent by email to the 88 IPGS members. The questionnaire comprised five sections and was designed to gather information regarding respondent demographics and specialty training, clinic composition and volume, surgical practices and preferences, follow-up practices, and additional services.

The past decade witnessed a surge in discoveries where biological systems, such as bacteria or living cells, inherently portray active polar or nematic behavior: they prefer to align with each other and form local order during migration. Although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear, utilizing their physical properties to achieve controllable cell-layer transport will be of fundamental importance. In this study, the ratchet effect is harnessed to control the collective motion of neural progenitor cells (NPCs) in vitro.

Objective: Reference intervals for hematologic and clinical chemistry values are useful when diagnosing a pathologic condition in animals. This study establishes relevant reference intervals for six species of wild birds that are frequently rescued at wildlife rescue centers in the Republic of Korea.
Methods: Forty-two Eurasian eagle owls (), 34 Oriental turtle doves (), 73 domestic pigeons (), 27 brown hawk-owls (), 76 common kestrels (), and 25 Eurasian magpies () were included in this study.

Background And Objectives: Research to identify fetal predictors of infant mortality among singletons born in the United States (US) concludes that poorly understood and unmeasured "confounders" produce a spurious association between fetal size and infant death. We argue that these confounders include Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS)-the clinical manifestation of selection against frail male twins . We test our argument in 276 monthly conception cohorts conceived in the US from January 1995 through December 2017.

Background This study aimed to identify factors affecting the length of hospital stay (LOS) after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in patients classified as American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II, with a focus on patient-dependent determination of discharge. The goal was to explore strategies to shorten LOS. Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 398 patients (494 knees) who underwent primary TKA.
