Purpose: Vitamins B group are important ingredients of coenzymes. Provitamin B5 dexpanthenol is necessary in the processes of reconstruction of epithelium, has regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. Objective of the study was to determine how the wounds of cornea and/or conjunctiva heal upon the application of D-panthenol/the medicine has been developed in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Gdańsk/.
Material And Methods: The activity of the medicine was tested in 40 eyes in the test group, a 40 eyes in the control group did not receive D-panthenol. The degree of the objective and subjective symptoms was assessed.
Results: The differences between the two groups commenced on the second day following the operation. Better effects were observed in patients receiving D-panthenol. Congestion and oedema of conjunctiva withdrew, the edges of wounds demonstrated smoothness and better adherence. Subjective feelings improved.
Conclusions: 1. Provitamin B5 contained in 5% drops and 5% gel of D-panthenol effectively accelerates the processes of healing the wounds of conjunctiva and cornea.

Background: Scalp seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin condition associated with scalp sebum secretion and dysbiosis.
Aims: The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a topical salicylic acid/piroctone olamine/zinc salt of L-pyrrolidone carboxylate (Zinc PCA) scalp pre-application gel in combination with a salicylic acid/piroctone olamine/antimicrobial peptide cleansing lotion for the treatment of moderate to severe scalp SD.
Patients/methods: In this prospective cohort study, 20 patients with moderate to severe scalp SD were treated with a combination of the scalp pre-application gel and cleansing lotion for 4 weeks (one tube of the pre-application gel per week and the cleansing lotion used every 1-3 days depending on the frequency of hair washing).

Cellulose microgel beads fabricated using the dropping technique suffer from structural irregularity and mechanical variability. This limits their translation to biomedical applications that are sensitive to variations in material properties. Ionic salts are often uncontrolled by-products of this technique, despite the known effects of ionic salts on cellulose assembly.

Background: We report a rare case of fungal keratitis caused by , a filamentous fungus that is widely distributed in soil and graminaceous plants.
Case Presentation: A 40-year-old Mongoloid male patient came to our outpatient clinic with painful swelling of the left eye and redness, after being cut by a tree branch 1 week prior. After examination, the patient was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer of the left eye, and was given levofloxacin eye drops and levofloxacin ophthalmic gel.

Background: Debridement is considered the first step in treatment of chronic wounds, however, current enzymatic and autolytic debridement agents are slow or ineffective. Previous studies have shown positive initial results with EscharEx® (EX-02 formulation), a Bromelain-based enzymatic debridement agent in development for chronic wounds. The main objective of this study was to assess its efficacy in debriding venous leg ulcers (VLU), compared to gel vehicle (GV) as a placebo control and to non-surgical standard of care (NSSOC).

Organic photodetectors (OPDs) are cheaper and more flexible than conventional photodetectors based on inorganic precursors, but their wider commercial application is limited by their low electron extraction efficiency under reverse bias conditions (when operating under photoconductive mode). Zinc oxide (ZnO) has shown promise as an electron transport layer for OPDs owing to its wide band gap, but its electron extraction efficiency has been limited by issues such as photoinstability and the formation of surface detects. This study investigated the effects of doping ZnO nanoparticles with indium gallium (i.
