Objective: This study aims to investigate the correlation between the development of diabetic retinopathy (DR) and the changes in corneal sub-basal nerve plexus (SNP) and corneal dendritic cells (DCs).
Methods: 58 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and 30 age- and sex-matched healthy participants underwent assessment of the corneal nerve. The DR group was divided into no diabetic retinopathy (NDR) and 29 eyes with mild to moderate non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).

Radiotherapy is the main treatment for patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) and is associated with an increased risk of ischemic cerebrovascular events (ICVE). The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to determine the incidence of ICVE and carotid artery stenosis (CAS) in patients with HNC who receive radiotherapy and the risk factors for CAS. We enrolled 907 patients with HNC who underwent radiotherapy between February 2011 and June 2022 and obtained information on their clinical and tumor characteristics and their treatment from the clinical records.

The mainstay of surgical treatment, when necessary, is always histopathological clarity and gross total resection (GTR). We evaluate the surgical outcomes for pineal gland lesions, shedding light on functional outcomes, histological findings, and surgical complications.
