Rib fractures still remain a common problem in blunt thoracic trauma, often resulting significant acute and/or chronic morbidity and mortality. The management of rib fractures has improved over the past two decades, resulting in overall improved patient outcomes. With advances in surgical stabilization of rib fractures (SSRF), improvements in regional analgesia, and the introduction of intercostal nerve cryoablation, patient outcomes from rib fractures have improved significantly over the past several years.

Giant rhinoliths are uncommon, mineralized concretions that usually develop around an intranasal foreign substance in the nasal canal. These lesions frequently cause respiratory problems, foul-smelling discharge, and nasal blockage. Clinical examination, endoscopy, and radiological imaging are used to make the diagnosis, and surgical removal is the only effective therapy.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the characteristics of intraoperative nursing near-miss events in interventional operating rooms, systematically identify and analyze associated risks, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted using a specially designed survey focused on nursing near-miss events in Interventional operating rooms. Records of intraoperative near-miss events voluntarily reported by medical and nursing staff between January 2023 and March 2024 were analyzed.

Design: This study used a qualitative study.
Methods: The sample consisted of 17 individuals aged 60 and above who were of Turkish origin, and immigrated to and living in Norway.
