Zeta function zeros, powers of primes, and quantum chaos.

We present a numerical study of Riemann's formula for the oscillating part of the density of the primes and their integer powers. The formula consists of an infinite series of oscillatory terms, one for each zero of the zeta function on the critical line, and was derived by Riemann in his paper on primes, assuming the Riemann hypothesis. We show that high-resolution spectral lines can be generated by the truncated series at all integer powers of primes and demonstrate explicitly that the relative line intensities are correct. We then derive a Gaussian sum rule for Riemann's formula. This is used to analyze the numerical convergence of the truncated series. The connections to quantum chaos and semiclassical physics are discussed.

Glioblastoma presents a significant treatment challenge due to the blood-brain barrier (BBB) hindering drug delivery, and the overexpression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which promotes tumor invasiveness. This study introduces a novel nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) system designed for the delivery of batimastat, an MMP inhibitor, across the BBB and into the glioblastoma microenvironment. The NLCs were functionalized with epidermal growth factor (EGF) and a transferrin receptor-targeting construct to enhance BBB penetration and entrapment within the tumor microenvironment.

The structures and rotational constants of prototypical monocyclic terpenes and terpenoids have been analyzed by a general computational strategy based on recent Pisa composite schemes (PCS) and vibrational perturbation theory at second order (VPT2). Concerning equilibrium geometries, a one-parameter empirical correction is added to bond lengths obtained by the revDSD-PBEP86 double hybrid functional in conjunction with a slightly modified cc-pVTZ-F12 basis set. The same functional and basis set give accurate harmonic frequencies, whereas the cheaper B3LYP hybrid functional in conjunction with a double-ζ basis set is employed to compute the semidiagonal cubic force constants needed to obtain vibrational corrections to the rotational constants in the framework of the VPT2 model.

A new method is developed using elastic lipid nanovesicles (ELNs) loaded with ethanolic extract of Lantana camara (LC) to enhance skin permeation of plant actives. The ELNs contained cholesterol, 1, 2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, span 80, and tween 80. Firstly, 15 formulations were produced to examine critical factors likely affecting formulation characteristics.
