The stochastic approach to the determination of the largest Lyapunov exponent of a many-particle system is tested in the so-called mean-field XY Hamiltonians. In weakly chaotic regimes, the stochastic approach relates the Lyapunov exponent to a few statistical properties of the Hessian matrix of the interaction, which can be calculated as suitable thermal averages. We have verified that there is a satisfactory quantitative agreement between theory and simulations in the disordered phases of the XY models, either with attractive or repulsive interactions. Part of the success of the theory is due to the possibility of predicting the shape of the required correlation functions, because this permits the calculation of correlation times as thermal averages.

Cryptanalysis of an Image Encryption Algorithm Using DNA Coding and Chaos.

January 2025

Electrical Engineering College, Heilongjiang University, Harbin 150080, China.

In recent years, many chaotic image encryption algorithms have been cracked by chosen plaintext attack. Therefore, the method of associating the key with the plaintext to resist the cryptanalysis has received extensive attention from designers. This paper proposes a new method of cryptanalysis for image encryption algorithms with a key associated with plaintext.

This study presents a family of coexisting multi-scroll chaos in a network of coupled non-oscillatory neurons. The dynamics of the system are analyzed using phase portraits, basins of attraction, time series, bifurcation diagrams, and spectra of Lyapunov exponents. The coexistence of multiple bifurcation diagrams leads to a complex pattern of multi-scroll formation, which is further complicated by the presence of coexisting single-scroll attractors that merge to form multi-scroll chaos.

A underlying complex dynamical behavior of double Allee effects in predator-prey system is studied in this article to understand the predator-prey relation more intensely from different aspects. We first propose a system with the Caputo sense fractional-order predator-prey system incorporating the Allee effect in prey populations to explain how the memory effect can change the different emergent states. Local stability analysis is analyzed by applying Matignon's condition for the FDE system.

Qualitative analysis in mathematical modeling has become an important research area within the broad domain of nonlinear sciences. In the realm of qualitative analysis, the bifurcation method is one of the significant approaches for studying the structure of orbits in nonlinear dynamical systems. To apply the bifurcation method to the (2 + 1)-dimensional double-chain Deoxyribonucleic Acid system with beta derivative, the bifurcations of phase portraits and chaotic behaviors, combined with sensitivity and multi-stability analysis of this system, are examined.

A Cordial Introduction to Double Scaled SYK.

SISSA, via Bonomea 265, 34136 Trieste, Trieste, 34136, ITALY.

We review recent progress regarding the double scaled Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model and other p-local quantum mechanical random Hamiltonians. These models exhibit an expansion using chord diagrams, which can be solved by combinatorial methods. We describe exact results in these models, including their spectrum, correlation functions, and Lyapunov exponent.
