Aquagenic syringeal acrokeratoderma (ASA) is a rare dermatological condition characterized by the transient appearance of edematous, white, translucent papules on the palms following water exposure. While the condition is most commonly associated with cystic fibrosis (CF) and predominantly affects young women, this report presents a unique case in a 24-year-old man without a history of cystic fibrosis. The patient reported a 10-month history of painful, pruritic eruptions on the hands following exposure to water.

A young adult male presented to the emergency department (ED) 10 h after ingesting lisinopril and amlodipine. On arrival, he was hypotensive with a blood pressure of 72/39 mmHg.

Background: Corneal fibrosis is a leading cause of blindness in mammalian species and may result in compromised performance in sports and daily functions. This study evaluated the safety and anti-fibrotic effects of the FDA-approved drugs, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE-I) lisinopril and rho-kinase inhibitor (ROCK-I) fasudil, alone and in combination, on the canine cornea using an established in vitro model.

Methods: To test the safety and efficacy of lisinopril and fasudil, primary canine corneal fibroblasts (CCFs) generated from donor corneas of healthy dogs (n = 20) were used.
