In case of venous route abnormality during a leadless pacemaker (LP) implantation, it can be challenging if we still performed via the predesigned femoral vein. We report a patient with normal preoperative laboratory and image results, but azygos continuation of the inferior vena cava (IVC) was suspected during the procedure. Then, we decided to change the implantation strategy, the LP implantation was successfully performed via right jugular vein instead of the classical IVC route.

Distinguishing unilateral from bilateral PA is critical when deciding who should be offered surgery (unilateral adrenalectomy). In this work, we evaluated the anticancer activity of compounds 1 (mononuclear) and 2 (dinuclear) copper(II) coordination compounds derived from the ligand 5-methylsalicylaldehyde 2-furoyl hydrazone (H2L) over MDA-MB-231 Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells, and compared their activities with that of a newly synthesized, protonated, dinuclear analogue of 2 (complex 3). Here, we report the synthesis of compound 3 and it has been characterized in the solid state (X-ray diffraction, FTIR) and in solution (EPR, UV-Vis, ESI) as well as its electrochemical profile. Face stereotypes are prevalent, consequential, yet oftentimes inaccurate. How do false first impressions arise and persist despite counter-evidence? Building on the overgeneralization hypothesis, we propose a domain-general cognitive mechanism: insufficient statistical learning, or Insta-learn. This mechanism posits that humans are quick statistical learners but insufficient samplers.
