Some of Xenopus ferritin cDNA family genes have already been sequenced. In this study, we report that two ferritin cDNA genes have been cloned from the Xenopus laevis germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes. The deduced proteins have different lengths with varied sequences when compared with the published Xenopus ferritins. One of them is the ferritin light chain homologous (LCH), which is reported for the first time in Xenopus and the other is the ferritin heavy chain homologous (HCH) that is first reported in Xenopus GV oocyte.

Iron-binding proteins, known as ferritins, play pivotal roles in immunological response, detoxification, and iron storage. Despite their significance to organisms, little is known about how they affect the immunological system of the red swamp crayfish (). In our previous research, one ferritin subunit was completely discovered as an H-like subunit () from .

The Nuclear factor Erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is the most important endogenous antioxidant factor in organisms, and it has been demonstrated that it exerts extensive control over the immune response by interacting with crucial innate immunity components directly or indirectly. Although Nrf2 has been widely confirmed to be involved in stress resistance in mammals and some fish, its contribution to mollusks oxidative stress resistance has not frequently been documented. In this investigation, total RNA was taken from the digestive gland of M.

tick highly affects the veterinary sector throughout the world. Different tick control methods have been adopted, and the identification of tick-derived highly immunogenic sequences for the development of an anti-tick vaccine has emerged as a successful alternate. This study aimed to characterize immunogenic sequences from ticks prevalent in Pakistan.

Toxicology is not only for eco-risk assessments, but also for the real-time environmental monitoring based on the quick response of specific biomarkers. Ferritin gene (ftn) is a potential biomarker involving in crucial protective responses in biota. However, little information is available concerning the ftn in marine copepod Acartia tonsa (A.
