Anhedonia, a transdiagnostic symptom prevalent in depressive and psychotic disorders, poses a significant challenge for pharmacological intervention due to its association with impaired motivation. Understanding how psychotropic drugs can modulate this pathological domain and elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying such effects are crucial endeavors in psychiatric research. In this study, we aimed to investigate the pro-motivational properties of lurasidone in a rat (Sprague Dawley males) model of anhedonia and to unravel the interplay between lurasidone and the brain regions critical for reward processing.

Background/objectives: Tic disorders are neurodevelopmental conditions often associated with comorbidities like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our aims were: (a) in a sample of youth with tic disorders to explore the clinical and psychopathological characteristics of different phenotypes based on the presence of comorbid ADHD and/or ASD and gender; (b) in a subgroup of patients treated with Aripiprazole, to evaluate symptoms variation over time and to identify potential predictors of response.
Methods: A total of 95 subjects with tic disorders (age range 6 to 17.

Interpersonal coordination processes facilitate interpersonal synchrony through a continuous mutual adaption and corepresentation of self and others' actions. Such a process has been found to enhance prosocial behaviors, affiliation, and trust. While research has investigated the general underlying cognitive and social mechanisms that facilitate interpersonal synchrony, much less is known about how interpersonal impairments influence it in various psychopathological conditions-such as borderline personality disorder (BPD).
