Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anatomical anomaly, in which the pancreatic parenchyma surrounds the descending duodenum. Generally, annular pancreas is diagnosed on the basis of symptoms associated with complications of peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis, and rarely, malignant tumors. Herein, we report an 84-year-old man for whom, during hospitalization for a urinary tract infection, pancreatic cystic lesions and an annular pancreas were noted incidentally on computed tomography.

The posterior belly of the digastric muscle, referred to as the "resident's friend," serves as a valuable anatomical landmark because identification of its location during head and neck surgery helps to secure vital structures. Acute aortic occlusion (AAO) is a rare and life-threatening condition, mostly secondary to acute thrombosis or embolism. We present a rare case of AAO by saddle embolism of a thoracic aortic mural thrombus.

Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death among non-communicable diseases. The management strategy prioritizes early detection and optimal treatment, with emerging roles for imaging approaches. Ulcerative colitis (UC) and psoriasis are highly correlated clinically; however, it is unclear whether they have a common pathophysiological mechanism. The purpose of this study is to investigate the important molecules and pathways that mediate the coexistence of UC and psoriasis through quantitative bioinformatics analysis of public RNA-sequencing databases. The UC (GSE38713) and psoriasis (GSE30999) datasets were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.
