We present a rare case of a patient with co-occurring exercise-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) and rhabdomyolysis. A 67-year-old man was referred to our department with AKI. Five days before referral, the patient had sudden-onset loin pain while banging and kicking on a door in a holding cell at a police station.

Manganese (Mn) is a neurotoxin that has been etiologically linked to the development of neurodegenerative diseases in the case of overexposure. It is widely accepted that overexposure to Mn leads to manganism, which has clinical symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease (PD), and is referred to as parkinsonism. Leukemia is a prevalent cancer that severely affects children, and standard chemotherapy often leads to severe gastrointestinal symptoms and neutropenia. This study aimed to discover alternative treatments to prevent neutropenia in pediatric leukemia patients and minimize chemotherapy-related complications. This randomized, placebo-controlled trial was conducted on 52 children between the ages of 3 and 18 years who were suffering from acute leukemia and undergoing chemotherapy.

Early T-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (ETP-ALL/LBL) is a rare and aggressive subtype of T-cell leukemia with poor prognosis and resistance to standard treatments. We report a 21-year-old male with ETP-ALL/LBL who, after an initial complete remission with the HOELZER protocol, experienced early relapse and was refractory to subsequent FLEND and BFM protocols. Following disease progression and complications, he was treated with a combination of daratumumab, venetoclax, azacitidine, and dexamethasone.
